培养学生跨文化交际的意识与能力是英语课程的重要目标之一,而教科书是学生英语学习的典型的输入性材料,也是文化传承的重要媒介。因此,改进英语教科书中传统文化内容有助于克服中国英语学习者中国文化失语症,提升其传播中国文化的意识与能力。比较中日初中英语教科书中的传统文化内容后认为,我国英语教科书包括的传统文化应更加多样,分布应更为均衡;应增加显性的用英语介绍传统文化的内容;结合语言学习活动,教授介绍传统文化的方法;对优秀传统文化内容的表达和呈现方式应传递更为积极的价值取向。为此,课程标准相关部分首先应对传统文化给出更具体明确的要求。
Abstract:Awareness and abilities of cross cultural communication is one of the important objectives of English language teaching,while English textbooks are main typical input materials for English learning and key media for the inheriting and passing on of culture. Thus,the improvement of the content related to traditional culture in English textbooks is helpful not only to prevent English learners' Chinese Culture Aphasia,but also to cultivate their awareness and ability to disseminate Chinese culture. After the comparisons of Chinese and Japanese English textbooks for lower secondary schools,the paper recommends that traditional culture in Chinese English textbooks be more diversified and distributed more evenly; there be more explicit content introducing traditional culture in English; there be some content or exercises teaching students ways of introducing traditional culture to foreigners; the delivery of excellent traditional culture convey more positive value. To this end, curriculum standards should give more concrete and explicit specification on traditional culture.
