Abstract:

At present, scientific literacy is regarded as a central concept in the field of science education. The implementation of scientific literacy on science curriculum standards and textbooks is a hotspot in the academia.By way of the review of literature, the author sorted out there were two theoretical models which are used to analyze "formal curriculum" in the view of scientific literacy:"curriculum emphases" and "curriculum balance".This paper introduced and compared two theoretical models and relevant empirical research, hoping to provide reference for domestic science educators to study science curriculum standards and textbooks.
