李德曼(Norman G.Lederman)教授是伊利诺理工大学数学和科学教育学系的主席,全美科学教学研究联合会(NARST)和科学教师教育联合会(AETS)的前任主席,也是全美科学教师教育协会(NSTA)的主管。并且是《学校科学和数学》杂志的主编。他曾教授中学科学教师的全科课程,指导教师的实习,并且曾在中学教授10年的生物。李德曼教授以其对学生和教师科学本质概念发展的研究而闻名,他也从事教师职前和在职的学科知识和教学法知识的研究,包括教学内容知识,教师的信念等方面。他创作和编辑了7本书籍,参加了15本书的编写工作,在专业杂志上发表150多篇文章,在世界各地的专业会议做报告400多场。笔者利用在芝加哥做公派访问学生的机会,进行了本次访谈。
